Gabby Cromwell was born in Bozeman MT and has grown up in the wonderful outdoors of Montana. Gabby has a deep passion for basketball and holds the free throw percentage record at her high school, is an all-state and was given the Spirit of the Sport Award for her entire region of states. Gabby and her team brought home two consecutive third place trophies from divisionals and made it to the state semi-final game. Her scoring high in high school was 28pts and she was on track to be a part of the 1000 point club until her injuries took place junior year.
She was diagnosed with two rare diseases her junior year in high school and has been through a total of 10 surgeries/procedures. Her first disease was a rare vascular disease called Popliteal Artery Entrapment. Popliteal artery entrapment (PAES) affects approximately 0.17%-3.5% of the general population with 85% of them being males. Her second was a rare sympathetic nervous system disorder called RSDS (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy). Gabby continued to battle chronic pain on a daily basis and nerve damage in both of her legs up until 2022. Now Gabby praises the Lord as she is completely free from the walking braces and has found a new passion in CrossFit. She still battles pain time to time but is living a very healthy and active life after surgeons told her she never would. She is very grateful for all of the people who stood by her side to get her to this point, especially her PT, Cole Schram.
After feeling so alone and like nobody really could understand what she was going through she set out to create a platform where other injured athletes can tell their stories and find comfort in one another. She wants to give athletes a place to inspire and motivate others while giving them the resources to continue to fight through their own adversity. Gabby founded One Day at a Time Athletes in late 2019. Her spiritual journey remains a huge motivator behind One Day at a Time Athletes. Gabby’s faith remains a very important part of who she is and what got her through so many difficulties and she loves to speak about it with others. Gabby was a Fellowship for Christian Athletes (FCA) leader for three years at her high school and loved coming alongside athletes in their hurt.
Gabby is now currently living in Marion, Indiana with her husband while she pursues a degree in sports ministry and aspires to become a certified personal trainer. She was an FCA leader on the college campus with her husband and they have just partnered with a ministry that is pouring into One Day At A Time Athletes. She also hopes to write a book about her journey.
In Gabby’s free time she loves to be outside. Things like fly fishing, hiking, and exploring the outdoors with her husband, Brayden, her daughter Harper and dog Kona. Gabby enjoys hanging out with her family and loving on her daughter Harper. She also enjoys getting to know and meeting with athletes.
Gabby loves anything to do with sports! Gabby and Brayden got married July 15th 2022, had their first daughter Harper in July of 2024 and are now closing a chapter at Indiana Wesleyan University where Brayden has finished school and Gabby enjoying motherhood. Their goal is to continue growing One Day At A Time Athletes.

Brayden Cromwell was born in Williston, ND but grew up in a small town in northeast Montana called Scobey. As a high school athlete he was fortunate enough to have a very successful career and only suffered a broken left clavicle and some torn tendons in his shoulder. After that injury Brayden continued to make the playoffs all four years in football and went 80-3 over the course of his basketball career with a third place finish his junior year and state title his senior year.
After high school Brayden went on to play football at Montana Western where he met Gabby and was introduced to One Day. Now Brayden is attending Indiana Wesleyan University to play football and pursue a Christian Ministry degree. Brayden’s faith is the thing that he prioritizes the most and is something that he is very strong in. Brayden faced an injury and had extensive hip surgery in 20203 and has since recovered well by putting his faith in Christ.
In Brayden’s spare time he loves to spend his time outdoors and go on adventures with his wife Gabby and daughter Harper. He has found a passion for lifting weights and loves to spend time in the gym! He also loves the game of football. Brayden loves his family and loves to spend time with them every chance he gets. He also loves to fish and check out new places and explore different parts of the U.S.
